Sustainable Civilization?

This is true
As Joanne Nova, Australian author, points out: “Everything on your dinner table - the meat, cheese, salad, bread, and soft drink - requires carbon dioxide to be there. For those of you who believe carbon dioxide is a pollutant, we have a special diet: water and salt.” So the next time you drink a beer or eat a meal, beware of that “dangerous carbon pollution.”
Dangerous Carbon Pollution: Propaganda from Climatism

The link is to an article written by denier Steve Goreham
This “carbon pollution” nonsense is driven by Climatism
He quotes a truth in an effort to instill doubt and/or fear, a typical technique.

It also highlights the difficulties we face to save life on Earth. We rely on fossil fuels to such a degree, weaning ourselves off of it will require a Herculean effort. It will require we give up stuff we think we need (but don't). It will require effort at the  community level all the way to global (via UN?). We need to find a successful model for sustainable civilization. Is there such a thing?
